Terms of use

In effect from 17 September 2026. These terms are between you and Triste media s. r. o., the publisher of Ashore, and are not an agreement with Apple or with Google.

The short version

Cleaning is free and stays free. The full version is bought inside the app, from Apple or Google, and cancelled there too. Ashore tells you what it plays and never claims a result, because it cannot measure one. Nothing here takes away a right your consumer law gives you.

1. Who these terms are with

Ashore is published by Triste media s. r. o., SNP 819/15, 078 01 Sečovce, Slovakia, company ID 52326632, Tax ID 2120977705, registered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Košice, section Sro, insert 46081/V, reachable at [email protected]. Installing or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Ashore on devices you own or control, in line with the usage rules of the store you got it from. The app is licensed to you, not sold. You may not copy it, sell it, rent it, decompile it or attempt to derive its source code, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.

Where the app is obtained from the App Store, this licence is limited to Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including any Family Sharing provisions.

3. What Ashore does, and what it does not promise

Ashore plays a defined signal through your phone speaker in order to move water out of the speaker port, and gives you ways to listen to the result: a speaker test with a swept low-frequency check, a tone generator, and an indicative sound level reading.

It does not tell you whether the water is gone, because it cannot measure that. No efficacy rate, success percentage or proportion of water removed is stated by the app, by this site or by us anywhere, and none should be inferred. The app is not a repair, it is not a substitute for a service centre, and it cannot undo damage that water has already caused.

The sound level reading is indicative. A phone microphone is not calibrated, so the value shown is a guide and must not be relied on for any decision where accuracy matters, including anything to do with hearing protection or a legal or workplace limit.

4. Safety, and how to use it sensibly

The signal plays at the maximum media output level your platform permits. Ashore never attempts to bypass, defeat or exceed a platform volume limit or a hearing-safety limit.

Do not hold the phone against your ear while a run, a test or a tone is playing. Disconnect headphones first; the app warns you when it detects them. Take particular care with a tone you have chosen yourself in the tone generator, which will play until you stop it. If you have a condition affected by sound, or the phone is near an infant or an animal, use your judgement about volume and distance.

Water and electronics do not mix well. If your phone has been in liquid, follow your manufacturer's guidance as well. Using Ashore is not a reason to skip that.

5. The free version and the full version

Cleaning is free and unlimited, with no advertising, no account and no usage limit, and that does not change. The speaker test, the tone generator and the sound level reading require an active purchase.

The full version is offered as a subscription with a choice of billing periods, and as a one-time purchase. Prices differ by country and can change. The price that applies to you, in your currency, is shown by the App Store or Google Play on the purchase screen before you confirm anything. We do not publish prices on this site, because a price printed here would be wrong the day a store price changes.

There is no free trial and no introductory offer on any option.

6. Subscriptions, renewal and cancelling

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it. Your store charges the renewal shortly before the period ends, at the price shown to you.

To cancel, go to App Store subscriptions on iPhone, or Google Play subscriptions on Android, at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling stops the next charge; the capabilities stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

The one-time purchase renews nothing and is charged once.

You can restore an earlier purchase from the paywall or from settings, on any device signed in to the same store account. If there is nothing to restore, the app says so plainly.

If your device is offline and the purchase cannot be checked, Ashore does not take access away from someone whose purchase was last known to be active, and does not grant access to someone whose purchase was not. When a purchase ends, the paid capabilities close at the next natural moment and never in the middle of something that is running.

7. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

We never take your payment, so we cannot issue a refund. Apple and Google handle every purchase, every renewal and every refund for the app. Apple takes refund requests at reportaproblem.apple.com; Google takes them in Google Play or through Google Play support.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content within fourteen days. That right can be lost once supply of the digital content has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose it, which is what happens when a store unlocks a purchase immediately. Your store's own policy governs how a withdrawal request is made and handled, and nothing in these terms limits a right your national law gives you. If you have trouble with a store, write to us and we will help where we can.

8. Support and maintenance

We are solely responsible for supporting and maintaining Ashore. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide any support for it. Write to [email protected] and see the support page.

9. Warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, and without affecting your rights as a consumer, Ashore is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, that it will work on every device or operating system version, or that it will achieve any particular outcome for a wet speaker.

Where the app was obtained from the App Store: in the event of any failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. We, and not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation, and for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.

10. Liability

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or loss of profit.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this section.

11. Changes to the app and to these terms

The app changes as it is updated, and a capability may change or be withdrawn where a platform makes it impossible to provide honestly. Cleaning being free and unlimited is not one of the things that changes. If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and a change that materially affects you will be announced in the app before it applies.

12. Third party terms

Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you obtained it from: the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or the Google Play Terms of Service. Where these terms conflict with the minimum terms Apple requires for a licensed application, Apple's minimum terms apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and, on your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

If we cannot settle a dispute directly, you may turn to the body for alternative dispute resolution: Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, ústredný inšpektorát, Odbor pre medzinárodné vzťahy a alternatívne riešenie spotrebiteľských sporov, Bajkalská 21/A, p. p. 29, 827 99 Bratislava 27, soi.sk. A consumer in another European Union country may use the alternative dispute resolution body listed for that country.
